Roma are looking to bolster their defense and have turned their attention to former Juventus defender Martin Caceres.
Today, Martin Caceres’ contract with Juventus expired and the Uruguayan defender became a free agent. After struggling with injuries throughout a good portion of his spell in Turin, Juventus didn’t offer the player a renewal. When on the field, however, Caceres has always performed and as a result, has attracted interest from a number of clubs around Italy.
According to Sky, Caceres and Roma are extremely close to reaching an agreement that would see the defender sign with the club for the foreseeable future. In the coming hours it’s possible that Caceres will become a Roma player.
