Frosinone sign Cocco

After suffering relegation back into Serie B last season at the first time of asking, Frosinone are looking to bounce back into the big time straight away.

Out though has went inspirational manager Roberto Stellone, who has joined Bari, and in has come Pasquale Marino in his place. The 54 year old Marino brings a wealth of experience to the job and is also a man with a point to prove after his sacking by Vicenza last season after the side suffered a bout of second season syndrome.

Frosinone though will be hoping they get the Marino who lead Vicenza’s highly unlikely promotion charge in the 2014/15 season. One man who proved pivotal to that promotion push was Andrea Cocco who scored 19 league goals that season. That prowess earned the 30 year old striker a move to Pescara last season but sadly injuries and the performances of a certain Gianluca Lapadula meant he failed to make a telling impact.

Now though the attacker has linked back up with the manager who has gotten the best out of him in his career so far. The Canarini have announced on their official website that they have signed Cocco on an initial loan deal with the option to buy once it is finished.

Potentially a very good move for Frosinone, especially if it is the Cocco of 2014/15 that turns up.
