According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Palmero are working hard on bringing Mario Balotelli back to his hometown.
The club struggled up front last season and only barely survived relegation, and thus believe that Balotelli alongside Diamanti can help avoid a similar situation this time around.
Talking to Premium Sport, Sporting Director Daniele Faggiano covered his clubs transfer moves;
“Diamanti will arrive in these coming hours. As for Balotelli, we are working on it, it will not be easy. Balotelli would be very welcome here, he would receive the welcome of a champion who still has to prove his worth.”
“Mario’s will should be key, I know that he has been informing himself of the city of Palermo…”
There have been rumours that Mario Balotelli would need to either take significant wage cut or get his wage covered by Liverpool in order to get the loan approved, as the English Premier League club look at any avenue to offload the striker who cost then €16 million two years ago.
