The Bianconeri defender has re-opened the possibility of returning to the national team.
Andrea Barzagli spoke to Sky Sport regarding the new arrivals at Juventus and the visit from head coach Giampiero Ventura at Vinov yesterday.
“This year big players have arrived that have raised our technical ability. We’ll see if this Juve will be stronger than the ones in the past few years, we’re working hard on this. The Champions League? It isn’t a simple tournament, there are great teams.
“We start off to win in Italy and do better than we did last year in Europe. We’ve made a big step forward in terms of quality in defense. Benatia and Dani Alves are two guys that have the desire [to win] and experience. They will make us better, certainly.
“Ventura? I’ve had positive feelings, it was an interesting encounter. I’ve always been curious about him as a coach. During this past month the desire to play for the Nazionale has returned, we’ll see. If I’m fine physically, why not. In any case the selections are always made by the coach.”
