Massimiliano Allegri spoke to the media following yet another loss after falling to Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli by a score of 2-1 in matchday six of Serie A action.
Juventus have struggled all season to find their form in Serie A and it continued today against Napoli. After the game, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri spoke to the media and said,:
“I’m not worried, I have nothing to reproach the players. We suffered five counterattacks from Napoli, the guys had a good game. It was an important game but my players will start climbing the table. Now we have to think of the Champions League clash as we just came off an aggressive display. We come up against a good Napoli side. Tonight, unlike in other games, I am calm.”
Do you feel like you’re under pressure now?
“I am the manager, I am always under pressure. Now I have to work hard for the good of the team. Last season we were able to do incredible things but this season we’ve had difficulties so far. We have to work to overcome them. In football things change quickly, we have five points and those are too little. The standings won’t change on their own. We have to start winning to do so. It wasn’t easy coming up against this Napoli side, they’re always dangerous.”
What are Juventus missing this season?
“Look at the standings. We are missing points.”
Did you see improvements?
“Everyone sees things differently, I look at things relying on my ideas and in the last seasons this has always worked. Perhaps tonight I wasn’t coaching on the field or I wasn’t concentrated. (laughs ironically) “
Can Cuadrado play as the attacking midfielder or as the second striker in your 4-3-1-2?
“With him on the field, we played with two players behind Zaza. In the end, he also played fullback because we needed energy there. The players tonight, however, did not play bad. In football, teams go through difficult moments. I don’t want to see any funerals yet. These moments are confronted and overcome.”
