Following a second consecutive dominant 5-0 win, this time in a clash with Lazio, Napoli’s star striker, Gonzalo Higuain and first year manager, Mauricio Sarri both applauded the squad for the victory, but already point forward to Wednesday.
Sarri: “We went after the opposition and applied pressure from the start, and after the first few goals things were made much more simple for us.”
“I was not worried early in the season and even now I think there are still problems that need to be solved. We now look forward and work for Wednesday.”
Gonzalo Higuain was the author of a brace for the Partenopei in the massive win and he shared his passion to strive for bigger objectives.
“I try to do my best in every match. We don’t always do well, but tonight we performed and played a great match.” A few moments later Higuain added this statement: “I remained here in order to take Napoli back to the Champions League.”
Can Napoli continue their hot goal scoring and clean sheet streak? The club looks to their next opponent Wednesday, in the form of last place club of Serie A, newly promoted Carpi. Sarri’s men have the right mindset.
