The bianconeri’s home winless streak continues, as Frosinone stuns them with a late equalizer by Blanchard
This evening was destined to be one of firsts. Until the 92nd minute it seemed destined to be Juventus’ first home win, but it was Frosinone’s first Serie A point.
Juventus dominated play throughout the match with a small parenthesis in the latter part of the first half, where Frosinone did well to react to a Juventus onslaught in the minutes that preceded that.
In the second half, Juventus stepped up play, with the advent of Dybala and Chiellini who came on for Lichtsteiner and Sturaro.
The tactical switch showed its fruits right away with Zaza whose shot beat Juventus loanee Leali after a slight deflection ten minutes from the restart.
Frosinone did not step up its game play, but Juventus didn’t press too much, creating goal scoring chances via shots at goal from distance, but often missing the target. Twenty-five shots at goal in the end.
As the game slowly, sleepily, headed toward its end Frosinone earned what seemed to be a harmless corner kick, from which Blanchard scores the goal that inverts the fate of the match.
Juventus heads into October without a home win in what was its fortress.
