On Saturday, Napoli will host Juventus at the San Paolo in the sixth matchday of Serie A action. Prior to the game, Dino Zoff spoke to Tuttomercatoweb.
Over the course of his long career, Zoff played for both Juventus and Napoli winning many titles. Today, he shared his thoughts about the upcoming game. The former keeper said,:
“It will be a nice game, but it comes at a delicate time for both teams given their indifferent starts to the new season. It’s an important game as whoever wins can pull themselves out of a difficult situation.”
It will be a tough test for both these teams given their runs of form but who arrives at this game in better shape?
“There is not one side that arrives better or is the favourite. Napoli had been doing well lately as were Juventus until the game against Frosinone. They did extremely well in the games against Manchester City and Genoa.”
In your opinion, can this season be seen as a transition year for Juventus?
“Juventus changed a lot over the summer. Quality players with the right mentality left therefore it is normal for there to be a period of getting used to for the new players. We must give Juventus time to gel.”
