Inter Milan forward Adem Ljajic has spoken exclusively to Inter Channel the day after his birthday: “Thank you so much to the fans for the birthday wishes, yesterday was a really special day for me. I started playing professionally at 16 for Partizan Belgrade, then at Fiorentina, Roma and then I finally arrived here at Inter. For eight years I’ve played at these incredibly high levels; it’s something not even I would’ve expected myself to do: I’m just so happy that I’ve done it.”
The Serbian then had a few words to say about Inter’s last match that ended 1-4 in Fiorentina’s favor: “Fiorentina’s surprise demolition? We know they’re a squad that can cause many problems for any club. I know them well: they have incredible technique and understanding of each other, not to mention we started the match very badly and, on top of that, Miranda got the red card. It was always going to be a difficult match. Now we must forget this game and look forward to the next match, it’s still very early in the season.”
Inter sit level with Fiorentina at the top of the table with 15 points each.
