Napoli and Carpi played out to a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Alberto Braglia. Here’s what Sarri had to say:

Napoli expected to go to Carpi and win comfortably however, from the first whistle we all saw what Carpi’s game plan was: to defend at all costs. Sarri was certainly right when he said that Carpi would not give Napoli the time and space to create in the attacking third. Thus, Napoli were shut out. One positive that can be taken out of this game was that Napoli kept their third consecutive clean sheet.
Sarri: “We did well on defense. From the start I inserted players more capable of one-on-one’s. I looked for the goal in every way possible” (via @sscnapoli).
If Napoli keeps up their strong defensive performances, that can take a lot of pressure off the attackers to score, a problem Napoli had in abundance in past years. Napoli must look to leave this game behind them with Juventus lurking on Saturday. Napoli play host to Juventus on Saturday at the Stadio San Paolo which should prove to be an electric match.
