With the arrival of Rafael from Verona to backup Marco Storari, Cagliari send a promising Goalkeeper to another Serie B competitor.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, promotion-seeking Cagliari have loaned U-21 Azzurri goalkeeper Alessio Cragno to Lanciano, who could use a pair of safe hands to help them escape the relegation zone. Cagliari announced the deal via their official website:
“The club announces that it has sent Alessio Cragno to Virtus Lanciano. The goalkeeper, born in Fiesole, developed in Brescia’s youth system and capped under Luigi Di Biagio’s U-21 squad, will transfer via a dry loan and return to Sardinia at the end of current season”
Cragno made only two appearances for Cagliari this season, both coming in the Coppa Italia where he also earned a clean sheet.
