Today it was reported that both Mario Mandzukic and Kwadwo Asamoah sustained injuries that would keep them out for a few weeks.
Following their Coppa Italia game against Inter, Juventus reported that Asamoah and Mandzukic picked up knocks. Today their conditions were confirmed after they both underwent tests. Asamoah sustained an injury to his right, femoral bicep that will sideline him for two to three weeks.
Mandzukic, on the other hand, has suffered a calf strain that will keep him out for four weeks. The Croatian’s injury means that he will miss the first leg against Bayern Munich in all likelihood.
Both players started the bianconeri’s Coppa Italia win against Inter but had to come off with knocks. Over the last few months, Mandzukic has really come into his own alongside Paulo Dybala. Asamoah, by contrast, had just started stringing impressive performances together after a long injury layoff.
