Flying high atop the EPL standings, Leicester City want to bring added insurance to their front-line and have made contact with a Serie A club for their top goalscorer. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, after initial negotiations with Sampdoria, Leicester City have presented an offer of €10.5 million for Eder.
The Brazilian-born Italian international has already refused a tempting offer from China but is now reportedly evaluating the possibility of transfering to the EPL league leaders. Although he is leaning towards accepting this new adventure, he is believed to be waiting to see if Inter’s reported interest in him is serious. As for Sampdoria, they are likely to accept the potential departure of their star striker as they sit closer to the relegation zone than they are of a European spot.
Eder is having a superb season for the Blucerchiati with 12 goals and 3 assists in 19 Serie A appearances. Should he move to England, it will end a ten year stay in Italy for the 29-year old since Empoli signed him from Brazilian club Criciuma in 2006.
