Newly-acquired Roma winger Stephan El Shaarawy expressed his satisfaction at his debut goal and the win.
Stepan El Shaarawy couldn’t ask for a better debut, scoring a lovely back-heeled goal and a win for the Italian. Here’s what he said to Sky,:
“It’s very satisfying. I’m so happy to start good with a victory. The back heel? I tried it and luckily it went in! Unforgettable emotion after that goal. I’m happy for win, we need consistency. We aim to put some wins together to get some momentum going. I learned the back heel from Ibrahimovic, I learned some things in training! My problem has been drifting out of games but with Roma’s quality in the midfield I can get more involved and be decisive. My objective here at Roma is to give my career a turning point. It wasn’t going well at Monaco and I’m here to get back on my feet. I feel like I’ll be able to express myself with this squad.”
