Pescara are dreaming of a return to Serie A and, although they are sitting third in Serie B and firmly in a Promotion Playoff spot, their ambitions are for automatic promotion. To further improve their promotion chances, Pescara have identified a top flight defender to aid their cause. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Abruzzo-based club have their eyes on Sampdoria on 30-year old centre-back Andrea Coda to strengthen their defensive unit.
Coda is reported to have accepted their contract offer of a year and a half deal, but it will all depend on Pescara reaching an agreement on a transfer fee with Sampdoria. The Italian defender has appeared in four games across all competitions for Sampdoria this season, including one appearance in a Europa League Qualifier.
