Inter and Milan to go Head to Head For Hatem Ben Arfa

Inter and Milan are set to renew their rivalry but this time the battle will take place on the transfer market over Hatem Ben Arfa.

According to Sport Mediaset,  Hatem Ben Arfa has emerged as a potential target for Italian teams in the January transfer window. Both Milan and Inter are said to be interested in the winger who has an expiring contract in June. OGC Nice would like Ben Arfa to sign a contract renewal but the Frenchman has shown no interest in signing a new deal. If either side wants to sign Ben Arfa in January it will cost them 8 million euros.

Ben Arfa, who has a reputation for being a bad apple, has turned a page ever since moving to OGC Nice and is having one of the best seasons of his career. The 28-year-old is very good off the dribble and will add some much needed creativity to either Milan or Inter’s attack.

When asked about his potential departure, Nice manager Claude Puel said,:

“I hope for him that he will not be at Nice next year. The top level, it is not just about dazzling. It is about consistency, volume of your game, working to recover… all of that is what he is acquiring this year.”

Ben Arfa has seven goals and two assists in 18 appearances.
