The now former Palermo player, Lazaar, has officially joined Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle United on a permanent deal.
The Morocco National Team left-back has penned a five-year deal at the Magpies for an undisclosed fee. Benitez has been tracking Lazaar for a while even ever since his Napoli days where he was close to signing the Moroccan for his former team.
Achraf joins Newcastle in England’s Championship, or second division, with the ambition of climbing back up to the Premier League. Lazaar made 76 appearances for the Sicilian club, scoring 3 goals along the way in his 2 and a half seasons with Palermo.
