Milan had their three-match win streak snapped last night at home in a scoreless draw with Atalanta. Despite a disappointing performance heading into the international break, manager Siniša Mihajlović remains positive
The Rossoneri came up short in their attempt to keep the win streak alive when they drew Atalanta 0-0 at the San Siro on Saturday. The club still holds a five-match unbeaten streak and with the international break set to begin, manager Siniša Mihajlović has looked at the positives, not the negatives.
Mihajlović, according to the official club site:
“Let’s focus on the positives: we didn’t concede and we have extended our unbeaten run….when you can’t come away with the win, the main thing is to avoid defeat. We now have the international break and it comes at the right time. We can recuperate physical and mental energy seeing as we have used up a lot lately.”
16 year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma continues to shine in goal for Milan and with his performance on Saturday, the club managed to earn another clean sheet with their young teenager making some pivotal saves throughout.

Mihajlović:
“Donnarumma today made three excellent saves and that’s what he is there for. He played well. We could have done a bit better in defence, but when you have 3 or 4 players that aren’t yet fully match-fit, you can pay the price but luckily we didn’t suffer because we had Donnarumma who saved the result for us.”
After the conclusion of the upcoming international break, Milan will resume their Serie A campaign in a tough battle against Juventus.
