Roberto Mancini spoke to the media this evening after Inter’s 2-1 defeat against Napoli, which saw them drop down to second place in the League.
On Napoli vs Inter
“It was a great match, an even match. I would have preferred winning but I believe that Napoli is the best team in the league. Unfortunately it was an ugly expulsion, absurd we have to suffer for it. There was an error in the evaluation, the first caution because of Callejon was a simulation, the second however Nagatomo could have been more careful knowing he already had a yellow card.”
Mancini went on to talk about Higuain:
“Higuain is an extraordinary player, it wasn’t easy scoring that first goal, he makes an enormous difference. We must not also forget about Reina, who made three incredible saves. Regarding our shots that hit the post, I thought one of them would go in. In conclusion: “We lost a tough match, however if Inter for 14 matches was at the top of the table it’s because we are doing something good.”
