Siniša Mihajlović was interviewed by Sky Sports after the match Milan-Sampdoria, where his team won 4-1, playing their best match at the San Siro this season.

On the victory:
“We have only won one game, we did well, but the road ahead is still long.”
On Niang:
“Niang is an important player, he did very well in pre-season but then got hurt. Now he is back in form and is doing well, but he has already shown in Genoa what he is made from.”
On the match:
“I dedicate it to the lads, they played a very good game, I’m very happy especially for them. Today we played an almost perfect match. We saw quality of play, scoring opportunities, goals, pity for the goal we conceded. If we play like this we can have fun and entertain.”
On the formation:
“Playing in this manner, which is more like a 4-2-4, the players were closer to each other and you could make more combinations. It is what we always tried to do and weren’t able to because we never had three strikers. When Mario (Balotelli) returns we will have an attack arsenal that will entertain.”
On the penalty taker:
“They know who the shooter is, however if there is someone who feels more or less in form to take it they will decide this on the pitch. The important thing is that whoever takes the penalty scores.”
On the season:
“After the game against Napoli we changed formation, at the time we needed solid defense, we had to try not to concede goals. We found defensive solidity and we got good results. In the meantime, we have recovered some strikers such as Niang. Our goal was to play with the 4-4-2. When Mario (Balotelli) and (Jeremy) Menez return they we will have fun and entertain. Our goal is to finish the remaining games before the break with an average of two points per game. We have matches we can win and if we continue like this we can do well.”
