Roma, Garcia furious game was not cancelled

Roma drew 2-2 with Bologna on a water filled pitch and manager Rudi Garcia was furious that the game was not cancelled

‎Comparing yesterday’s match to water polo with feet, Roma coach Rudi Garcia showed his frustration at the post match press conference in a game that shouldn’t have been played at Stadio Renato Dal‎l’Ara.

‎The heavy rain forced both teams to play on a pitch flooded with water making it uncomfortable for the players.‎     ‎

‎“Tonight we can’t talk about a football game.‎ That was not a football game, that was a football parody. We asked the referee to interrupt the game. ‎How can’t you postpone a game like this? There was little football to see. How could there be in these conditions? ‎The positive thing is that we didn’t suffer any injuries. I can’t discuss anything related to football.”‎

‎Garcia left the presser clearly upset and didn’t take any other questions.

Things get more difficult for the giallorossi as they travel to Barcelona for a pivotal Champions League clash at the Camp Nou on Tuesday.‎
