Following a 6-1 loss to Barcelona, Roma were shut out at home losing 2-0 to Atalanta. Roma fans are upset and rumours are spreading regarding Rudi Garcia’s future.
Daniele De Rossi had plenty to say in several post match interviews, we recap the most salient points here.
On the match:
“We prepared well for this match with the hopes of cancelling the embarrassment of Barcelona but didn’t succeed. We were also a tiny bit unlucky but we must do better.”
On the current results:
“We have to remain united and work hard. We know there are 24 matches left to play and we have the quality to succeed and get as many points as possible.”
“Last year we won the derby and finished second, united without giving up on each other.”
On Garcia:
“We each have to share blame and responsibility, putting it all on the coach is senseless. When you go on the pitch and have better quality than your opponent and don’t take advantage of it, it is cause for concern.”
Final thoughts
“This is not our lowest moment, we’ve had worse. We must reflect on our performance and think about the next match, that is what counts at the moment.”
