Following his club’s 2-1 victory over Inter, coach Maurizio Sarri was content to get the victory, but was not pleased with the way his team played in the last minutes until the match’s end.
Sarri to Sky Sport: “I am glad to have given satisfaction and happiness to this wonderful audience, but starting tomorrow we go back to work. We must be good at not letting anything or anyone overcome us. After we went up 2-0, we gave them the match to win, then we conceded a goal and went into a panic and were confused mentally, making mistakes on things we usually do not do wrong.”
Sarri went on to talk about what the team would talk about in training tomorrow:
“The reason we could not hold the result better. We should always talk about things to improve. For those last twenty minutes the players will hear it from me.”
And on whether Higuain is human or a martian:
“It depends on him. If he takes another step forward, becoming more aggressive, then he is a martian.”
