Same name, same family tree and maybe, the same footballing talent?
Lautaro Dybala, the nephew of ex-Palermo and current Juventus star Paulo Dybala via his older brother Gustavo, recently paid a visit to the Turin club’s training ground for more than just photographs and sightseeing. The 17-year old plays for Argentinian side Club Atletico Talleres from Cordoba. The same club which produced the likes of José Mauri and Javier Pastore. According to Corriere dello Sport, the younger Dybala had a chance to train with Felice Turano’s Allievi Nazionali (U17) and the comparisons were quickly made with a former teammate of Paulo’s, trequartista Franco Vazquez.
Lautaro reportedly made a lasting impression on everyone at Vinovo with his movements, ball control and accurate shooting. Although mesmerizing with the ball at his feet, the advice given was that he would still need to bulk up his frame but has the time ahead of him to fully develop. Within the session, he partook in a five versus five scrimmage and near the end, finished the practice with shots on goal. As per Corriere dello Sport, he could set up behind the striker or play a role out on the wing.
His presence at Vinovo may have simply been a visit but with the influx of youthful stars Juve have brought in, there is nothing stopping them from offering another Dybala the chance to wear the famous white and black kit
