Bologna beat Sassuolo 2-0, but Donadoni took a part of the interview to address one of his men who were not at the stadium today, Juan Zuniga.
Zuniga lost his father earlier in the week and has been back home in Colombia. No official announcement has been made on when he will return.
Interviewed by Rai Sport after the match, Roberto Donadoni was very played after his side’s success against Sassuolo.
“The guys harvested the crop of their hard work during the week. Perhaps we were a little unconvincing during the first half but Sassuolo is having a great season and this result is a very proud one for us.”
Is it a miracle with what you are doing with Bologna?
“I’m very happy about all this, certainly. I want to remind everyone that Zuniga wasn’t here, he lost his father two days ago. In a moment of joy for the result, there’s also a moment of sadness and we are standing by him. But he knows that Bologna is like a family that will wait on him. Losing your parents is an immense pain, it’s difficult to cope.”
