The French midfielder has plenty of suitors to take him from the relegation-stricken side.
Inter are on the hunt for a midfielder, and Joao Mario from Sporting Clube de Portugal isn’t the only player they want. The two clubs still haven’t even found an agreement for the transfer, which is contrary to reports from last week.
Their new objective is Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle, who’s coming off an excellent European Championship with France.
The 27-year-old is being courted by the Nerazzurri in their bid to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season. They’ll have to surpass at least one of Roma, Napoli or Juventus in order to do so.
Today, the club met with Sissoko’s agents according to Sky Sports Italia. It remains to be seen if this is a substitute for the Joao Mario deal or possible a second addition waiting to be announced. The Portuguese wasn’t called up for his side’s next game this weekend.
