Liverpool are the first team to come up with an offer for the 23 year old with plenty of interest.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, “The Reds” have come up with a price for Mattia De Sciglio, and that price is £16 million. The defender’s agent stated “There are definitely many clubs interested, we are looking around both in Italy and abroad. We have also had contact with Napoli.”
The offer comes just two days after the teams faced off in the International Champions Cup. De Sciglio however did not feature in the game as he was on an extended vacation following his international duty. After his impressive performance at the EURO 2016 tournament, several teams were said to be interested in the player.
His transfer would be the first of his career as he spent his entire senior career with the rossoneri, featuring 85 times since 2011.
