Quickly becoming an integral piece of the new coach’s system, Medel is becoming more important for Inter.
The Chilean midfielder, who was one of the Inter bright spots last season is held very highly by de Boer and believes he could be what it takes to bring his midfield together.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club could be thinking about renewing him, instead of selling him like they thought during the Mancini reign. Medel’s current contract runs until 2018.
Liverpool had been heavily interested in him as a midfield reinforcement as they look to improve in the Premier League.
The Copa America champion however appears that his days are only beginning in Milano.
