In dire need of support up front, Palermo have made it a priority to find a striker and have set their sights on an Italian International.
A shortage in the striker department due to the departure of Alberto Gilardino to Empoli, Palermo are scrambling to find another bomber before the window shuts next week. According to La Gazzetto dello Sport, Stefano Okaka is the latest name to appear on their search list. The 27-year old had a fantastic season in the Jupiler Pro League with Anderlecht, scoring 13 goals in 27 games, a career-high.
At the moment, Palermo only have three strikers on their books which are Simone Lo Faso, IlijaNestorovski and Norbert Balogh. The addition of Okaka, should they decide to negotiate a deal with Anderlecht, will be a big boost to replace the void left by Gilardino.
