After it appeared that Icardi and Inter would go their separate ways, the two parties seem to be on the path towards a contract renewal.
The Nerazzurri captain, who the club has always said is unsellable will put a new contract on the table in the coming days.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, despite Napoli’s efforts to sign the Argentine forward, the player doesn’t want to leave and Inter aren’t going to let him.
The new contract would be worth approximately €4.5 million net per season and be extended until 2021. There’s a bonus package included that could see him make €5 million maximum.
However, the big news is they will place a gargantuan release clause on him, worth around €110 million for any team who wants him from outside of Italy.
