The French star is keen to leave the Championship club amidst interest from Inter
According to France Football Moussa Sissoko is close to joining Italian giants Inter Milan. The club have made important steps to secure the Newcastle midfielder who is interested in leaving the Championship for a big club elsewhere.
Furthermore an agreement between Inter and Newcastle is close, with the Italians offering 32 million euros. However this is short of Newcastle’s valuation of the player as they want 40 million instead. Juventus and Real Madrid are also extremely interested in Moussa Sissoko
Rafael Benitez has clarified in the past that, should Newcastle receive an offer that matches their asking price then they will not stand in Moussa Sissoko’s way claiming;
“Moussa is now the big name in the market,” Benitez said. “If someone wants Moussa they have to pay.”
“If we are happy with the price, and he is happy, then we can maybe consider. But if we are not happy, then he can stay here and I will be really, really pleased to keep him.”
The 27 year old has been at the club since 2013, making 118 appearances and scoring 11 goals. Sissoko is also a French International representing France 44 times
