Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi discusses the important opening win against Atalanta
During his post match interview with Radio Rai, Inzaghi highlighted just how difficult it was to get a win over their opponents:
“We were good, we had a great first half and the first fifteen minutes of the second. Then we got two goals and here in Bergamo, you suffer, but we did well. We found it difficult and could have conceded more, however, we went out and got the win in Bergamo.”
In regards to the final days of the transfer market:
“In regards to the market? We are waiting for Candreva’s replacement. With regards to Keita, he’s already said too much. Now let’s enjoy this victory, we’ll try to work on some of the mistakes committed. Failure to push on our advantage ? There are a number of factors, do not forget that Parolo, Biglia and Immobile arrived twenty days ago and they played a friendly and a half afterwards.
“We played against Atalanta who have been working since early July and have played ten friendlies. Without a doubt, we were inferior at the legs level but thanks to the first sixty minutes we were able to take home a very important victory. “
