It has recently emerged that the Captial club are showing an interest in the Moncao star.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola are claiming that Roma are interested in bringing in Joao Moutinho to the club. Furthermore the paper states that the Monaco are willing to negotiate the sale of one of their star players.
The purchase of the Portugese international is largely dependent on Roma beating Porto and progressing to the next round of Champions League, in which fresh funds will be injected into the club via participation within the competition.
Additionally A Bola point out that Roma are not the only Serie A club to show an interest in Joao Moutinho, as Napoli and AC Milan are also looking bringing the player in.
Sabatini is aiming to bring the 29 year old in, who has played at Monaco since 2013 and has 90 caps for Portugal.
