Inter are back to winning ways after a 3-1 victory over Sampdoria tonight, and have closed the gap on third place Fiorentina to one point.
Speaking to Sky Italia after the match, Mancini was “satisfied” with tonight’s performance and hopes “improvements will come with victories”
“I’m satisfied. It was important to win to not break away from the teams fighting for third place. The worst hasn’t passed yet as one victory isn’t enough. We need a bit of time, more peace of mind. At the start there was the normal tension. The three points were good and firm, even if in the first half we left the ball game to Sampdoria.”
“The thing that gives us hope are tonight’s three points, but we need to do something more regarding how we play. I think the improvements will come with a set of victories. Now we are well and we need to be humble, perhaps we need to suffer before we can score a goal. That’s football.”
