Silvio Berlusconi looks back on his 30 years in charge of Milan and gives his thoughts on today’s market for purchasing star players.
In an interview with Telelombardia, Silvo Berlusconi reflected on his 30 years at the helm of Milan as club President.
On Milan & his regrets:
Milan is the most important part of my life. It is a part of the love for my father, for football and for the city of Milan. There were so many moments of joy that it leaves little room for regrets. Maybe when we had closed out that first half in Istanbul up 3-0 then the officiating and bad luck stopped us from bringing home the trophy. Two years later, however, we were vindicated.
On Maradona:
Who would not want a player like him in their squad. We had friendly relationship beyond football.
On buying world-class players:
Club flagbearers are champions on the field and in life. Everyone would like to have a Messi but they are unattainable because the prices circulating on the market are unapproachable.
