The Albanian international had quite a season in Naples and is currently playing in the European Championships in France.
With Napoli aiming for Fabinho or Vrsaljko, Hysaj could be on his way out, but not necessarily to a smaller club. The former Empoli player made the switch to the south of Italy with head coach Maurizio Sarri and became a staple in the Partenopei’s 2nd place finish in Serie A.
He’s caught the eyes of Arsene Wenger, who according to the Daily Star have been scouting and evaluating Hysaj’s performances both in Serie A and in the Europa League.
Manchester United and Chelsea are lining up a potential bid for the Albania man, however without Champions League football, if an offer were to arrive from a qualified club, then it would be more enticing to sign elsewhere.
Hysaj arrived from Empoli last summer for a fee of €5 million, it’s rumored that Aurelio De Laurentiis would not accept a bid for less than €15 million.
The 22 year old wingback can play on either side of the defense and made 43 appearances for Napoli in all competitions last season. He’s appeared for Albania 20 times already and wore the captain’s armband after Lorik Cana was sent off against Switzerland on Saturday.
