After Vardy rejected Arsenal, Mauro Icardi finds himself at the top of the wishlist.
The Gunners have long been fans of the Inter captain and according to TalkSport, Wenger seems ready to spend big to get their man.
However, Inter seem hard set on not letting Icardi go, even for a monumental fee of €40 million. Which would alleviate their Financial Fair Play crisis and coupled with the new ownership group it may, in turn, make the club be in a position to spend again.
It would be a tough deal to pull off for Arsenal because Roberto Mancini is a huge admirer of the Argentina man and doesn’t want to part ways with their top goalscorer.
Icardi is a product of the esteemed Barcelona youth academy, however he opted to leave and joined Sampdoria in 2011. In 2013, Inter signed him for around €13 million.
Since then, the Rosario born goalscorer has gone on to score 52 goals in 105 matches for the Nerazzurri.
