Fiorentina Initiate Talks With PSG For Sirigu

The seldomly-used Italian goalkeeper wants to return to a starting role and Fiorentina could offer him a return to his homeland.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina have opened up talks with Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain for former starting goalkeeper, Salvatore Sirigu. The ex-Palermo shot-stopper lost his starting job to Kevin Trapp this season and only made three league appearances, collecting a clean sheet each time. Unable to regain his position under Laurent Blanc, Sirigu could well accept a move back to Italy to get his career back on track.

The 29-year old made most of his appearances in the Coupe de la Ligue where he appeared on six occasions, earning three clean sheets along the way.
