In the hunt to reinforce their midfield, Napoli have turned to Correntine Tolisso of Olympique Lyon.
The Partenopei faithful are growing concerned about the lack of reinforcements this summer, especially after the club failed to land Hector Herrera.
Aurelio De Laurentiis placed a €26 million bid on Lyon’s table, but club president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that his team does not want to lose the young Frenchman.
“I received an offer for €26 million from Napoli for Tolisso, but with everything considered I refused the offer,” Aulas told Infosportplus.
After striving hard to acquire Piotr Zielinski but failing due to the player choosing Liverpool, Tolisso seemed like the best bet to reinforce the midfield.
Last season, Tolisso played in 45 matches for Lyon and scored 7 goals in the process. He is yet to be capped by the senior France squad but has 15 appearances for the U-21.
