Chelsea target Inter defender Jesus to reinforce backline

More interest from abroad for Inter’s Juan Jesus, as the Blues step up their efforts.

Antonio Conte wants to bring some Serie A flavor over the his London side for next season. According to Mediaset, Chelsea are interested in bringing Juan Jesus to London. The original target was Antonio Rudiger from Roma, but with his ACL injury, they do not want to bring in a player who will be unavailable until at least November or December.

Inter have placed their valuation of the Brazilian at €12 million. Currently Inter’s DS is in England to work on the sales of Ranocchia and Brozovic, whilst working on a deal for Yaya Toure.

While Inter continue to make changers to their roster, Juan Jesus may also be another outcast. He only made 23 appearances all season long, and a large portion of those came from outside his natural position.

Juan Jesus arrived in Italy from Internacional in Brazil in 2012. At once touted as the next Thiago Silva, Jesus has gone on to largely disappoint in Serie A. However his style may be more well suited in London.
