Insigne, Èder and Immobile ready to give it their all in France

The attacking trio of Ciro Immobile, Eder and Lorenzo Insigne spoke to the media about Italy’s chances at the tournament and what they could bring to the team.

Ciro Immobile

“I was nervous waiting to get the call for the Euros. When it came I really committed myself to the squad.”

“The team is ready, we have a very united squad with a role for everyone.”

“With Conte, everyone has to earn his starting place. There’s competition in attack but it pushes you to do well. If I wasn’t here, I’d have no regrets. I did everything to come back from injury. Thank you to Torino for their support”

“I arrived in Brazil tired, I’m much fresher now. There’s still pressure because we are Italy. I want to prove my worth.”

“Buffon is an example for all of us, he’s the leader and the captain. He knows how to exude calm which is vital at this level.”

Eder

“I guarantee that I’ll give my all. I can’t promise that I’ll score 20 goals but I’ll give everything.”

“We’ve worked really hard since starting training. I’m much fitter than I was before.”

“The game against Belgium won’t be decisive but a good result would give us confidence.”

“I’ve always played alongside Pelle for Italy but we can all play together. We complement each other as players.”

Lorenzo Insigne

“In Brazil we worked a lot on adapting to the climate, this time the focus is on tactics and the team.”

“I’m not having any problems adapting to playing as a second striker. Commitment is what matters, not where you play.”

“Belgium are a good side with great players at top clubs like Hazard and DeBruyne. Mertens? We’ll need to keep an eye on him.”

“We’ll look to attack against Belgium, we’re training so that we can put them under pressure.”
