Juventus announce the signing of midfielder Miralem Pjanic from Roma.
Turin, June 13th, 2016 – Juventus Football Club S.p.A. to have perfected the agreement with the club A.S. Roma S.p.A for the full acquisition of the sporting presentation rights of player Miralem Pjanic for a fee of €32 million.
The economic and financial effects of the acquisition will be in effect from the 2016/2017 football season.
Juventus has agreed with Pjanic to sign a 5 year contract.
The Bosnian international came to France with Metz before signing with Olympique Lyonnais in 2008. Then in 2011, Pjanic was signed by Roma for a fee of €11 million.
Juventus were able to close the deal quickly because Pjanic was keen on joining the Bianconeri and waived his 20% stake in the transfer fee allowing Juventus to come down off the €38 million release clause.
Pjanic has played in 350 professional competitive matches for his three clubs, scoring 50 goals and racking up 70 assists in the process.
