The Italy international has played a fundamental role in Conte’s Italy for quite some time.
His stint with Sunderland has been anything but successful, it was his return to Italy via Bologna that catapulted Il Giak back into the national side. With his contract with the English side expiring next summer, they want to sell him sooner rather than later in order to make some kind of return on their investment.
Torino are interested, but the midfielder may cost too much for their budget. Bologna would like to keep Giaccherini althought it is more difficult for financial and competition reason.
Fiorentina are also interested, and with Corvino the new DS, there’s a strong link to bring him to the Viola. Corvino was the Bologna DS who brought Giaccherini down from Sunderland in January.
Then there’s Milan, who at the moment are intrigued but are probably the most reserved on the deal. Berlusconi is a big fan of Giaccherini, but the more important question is to whether or not he will be the owner of the club for much longer.
Emanuele Giaccherini scored Italy’s opener against Belgium on Monday to give the Azzurri the lead in the early going.
