The tug of war between Napoli and Liverpool over Piotr Zielinski continues but the Merseyside might have pulled the rope in their favor. As reported by The Guardian, Jurgen Klopp is said to have personally called the Empoli midfielder to explain his desire of wanting him at the club and convince him of a move to the Premier League.
It is a clever move that might have thrown a wrench into Napoli’s negotiations. The Partenopei are reportedly close to coming to an agreement with Udinese over a transfer but they have yet to reach an agreement with Zielinski, whose preference is to continue his career at Liverpool.
