Recently, Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner had been sidelined due to a heart condition but has now returned.
For the past few weeks, Lichtsteiner was struggling with a heart condition and underwent surgery. While the timetable for his return was unknown, all question marks were cleared as Massimiliano Allegri called up the player for his side’s clash against Borussia Moenchengladbach. Despite the fact that he was expected to be eased back into action, it seems that he will be getting the start in tonight’s crucial game.
Juventus announced their lineup for their Champions League clash ten minutes ago and it included Stephan Lichtsteiner at right back. After being forced to use a back three or Simone Padoin at right back, Allegri will now once again have the luxury of counting on the Swiss international’s quality in defence. The question is, however, will he be his usually marauding self down the right flank? You be the judge as the game is set to kickoff in over an hour.
