Bad news for Rudi Garcia and Roma. This morning, doctors confirmed that Mohamed Salah had suffered a severe ankle injury after Lulic’s ugly tackle, which caused him to leave the game early.
The winger will be on the sidelines for 4-6 weeks, and the club released an official statement stating the following: “During the course of the game yesterday at the Olimpico against Lazio, Mohamed Salah was forced to leave the field in the 58th minute following a foul by the Biancoceleste player Senad Lulic.
“This morning the player, who yesterday appeared for the 11th time for Roma, underwent specific controlled tests following the sever injury which showed a ligament injury to his right ankle.
“The indications have been documented and shows a second degree capsule-ligament injury compartment outside of the ankle joint,” the statement concluded.
