It’s been on the club’s wishlist since the beginning of the transfer period – or even longer.
The Viola are putting the final touches on a deal that sees ex-Atalanta defender Yohan Benalouane rejoin Serie A. The Tunisian defender is currently plying his trade with English Premier League side Leicester.
This deal supersedes the options for De Maio and Izzo from Geona for economic and contract reasons, also Benalouane would come in on loan for an upfront cost of about €1 million. The buyout clause is yet to be defined.
Next, Fiorentina will look to sell Joan Verdu back to La Liga, with Levante interested.
