As per Tuttosport, Juventus have contacted Bayern Munich to discuss the availability of center-back Mehdi Benatia. The Bavarian club want to insert an obligation to buy clause in the loan but the Italian champions would prefer for it to be an option to buy instead. If a deal for Benatia cannot be completed, Juventus will turn their attention to ex-Sampdoria and current Valencia center-back, Shkodran Mustafi.
The 29-year old Moroccan only appeared in 14 games for Bayern in the Bundesliga, collecting a goal and two assists.
