The Biancoceleste are racing to appoint a coach in order to launch the rebuilding of their club on the field.
After coaching in Marseille last, Bielsa has been out of work for roughly a year, in large part on his own terms. Numerous clubs and national teams have made approaches to ‘El Loco’.
He’s a critically acclaimed coach who was honored at the FIGC’s Coverciano coaches training course for exemplary tactics and general understanding of the game.
Lazio President Claudio Lotito has reached out to Bielsa and the contacts have been positive as the Argentinian tactician is a fan of the squad.
The last hurdle is the financial aspect, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. His demands aren’t anything extreme, and if the parties can come together, Lazio may have themselves a high-profile coach for 2016/17.
