Speaking to Sky Sport while on duty with Chile at the Copa America, Mauricio Pinilla said his future could be away from Bergamo if Gasperini is brought in as manager:
I will see with the club. It would be difficult to remain in this situation. I am happy at Atalanta but I need to understand the desire of the club and the manager. We were already together at Genoa and he made other choices. We will see, the transfer market is long.
Pinilla played under Gian Piero Gasperini for six months at Genoa in 2014/2015 before being shipped out on loan to Atalanta in January of that season.
